Wednesday, May 14, 2014 (FARMERS BRANCH, Texas) – Frank and Sandra Saiz could have opened an account anywhere, but they chose Alliance Federal Credit Union (FCU), one of the Cornerstone Credit Union League’s (Cornerstone) newest Juntos Avanzamos credit unions. The Saizes’ will share their story May 29 at a special flag-raising ceremony honoring the Lubbock-based credit union’s receipt of the Juntos Avanzamos designation.

“Juntos Avanzamos” means “together we advance,” and this designation is awarded by Cornerstone to credit unions that have successfully completed a rigorous application process that confirms they have the capacity, commitment, and compassion to serve the financial needs of Hispanic families. At the ceremony on May 29, Cornerstone officials will present Alliance FCU with a Juntos Avanzamos flag.
