Deposit Regulation Update—Compliance Issues 2015

2015 brings new challenges for credit unions on the federal side with regulatory changes and updates. The Compliance Review Seminar has been updated to reflect the latest hot spots for deposit/share operations of the credit union.

Participants will examine UDAAP, Regulation CC holds, prepaid cards, remote deposit capture, and virtual branches. If it is happening in 2015, we address it in this compliance roundup of the federal rules and their impact on your credit union.

New laws in Texas, many of which went into effect in September, and some that will go into effect later in 2017, have been added to the Dallas program. You will receive a Texas law supplement on your CD of just those laws.

What you'll learn:

  • Texas law changes to PODs, marijuana, IOLTA, safe deposit boxes, and more
  • Complaint management programs with UDAAP implications
  • Regulation E issues—prepaid cards, error resolutions, and foreign remittances
  • Regulation CC—using the holds and other compliance concerns
  • W-9s, W-8BEN and W-8BENE, and FATCA changes
  • Overdraft privilege—where are we now?
  • BSA hot spots
  • Virtual branches, virtual wallets, and virtual currency
  • New beneficial ownership rules on business accounts for CDD
  • Developing a script to open accounts
  • And other compliance issues in 2015

What you'll receive:
A CD with all the PowerPoints, training materials, and supplements in electronic format.
