Tuesday, November 18, 2014 6:55 AM

The Austin-American Statesman has named A+ Federal Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in central Texas, to its Top Workplaces list for 2014. The honor recognizes the credit union for its leadership, direction, ethics, values, and how well employees are treated. This is the third year A+FCU has received this recognition.

"It is an honor to be recognized by our employees for this award," said A+FCU CEO Kerry A. S. Parker. "We’re fortunate to have employees, from interns to seasoned professionals, with strong ideals and ethics who embrace our culture and provide excellent financial guidance to our members."

The top workplaces are determined based on anonymous employee survey responses. The survey was conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. One hundred companies were selected as the best places to work in the Austin area. A+FCU was named in the medium-sized category.

A+FCU offers numerous opportunities for professional development through an industry-recognized, employee-wide corporate university, leadership development programs, and financial assistance to employees studying fields related to their careers. The nearly 350 employees enjoy a culture that recognizes their efforts in supporting core values that provide excellent member service.

The Austin American-Statesman published the complete list of Top Workplaces on November 16. For more information, visit www.statesman.com/topworkplaces.
