Tuesday, June 13, 2017 6:55 AM

The A+ Federal Credit Union board of directors continues its commitment to education by awarding $90,000 in scholarships to 45 high school and college students in Central Texas.

Each student receives $2,000 to help with educational expenses. The 45 winners were selected from more than 800 applicants for their outstanding academic achievement, as well as their community involvement. This year’s winners represent 28 different high schools and five different universities.

"Started in 1984, the A+FCU Scholarship Program began by awarding two scholarships and has grown to what it is today," said Kerry A.S. Parker, A+FCU CEO. "We are very proud to be able to expand a program that awards students with funds to help fulfill their dream of going to college."

Winners were recognized on May 17, 2017 at a Scholarship Reception hosted by the A+FCU board of directors.
