June 10 - 12, 2014
Little Rock, AR
Join credit union directors, board chairs, supervisory committee members and others from credit unions in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas as we discover the top challenges facing credit union volunteers today at the 2014 Volunteers Forum.
This conference is the perfect opportunity to network with volunteers from credits unions in the Cornerstone region, share best practices, and discover future trends by collaboration and training. In addition to being able to attend six general sessions and your choice of 5 of 15 breakout sessions, you can receive Certificates of Attendance/ Completion for Financial Literacy, BSA Training and Supervisory Committee training.
*NOTE: NCUA rules require federal credit union board members to become financially literate within six months of their election or appointment. Cornerstone Credit Union League is offering Certificates of Attendance/Completion for credit union volunteers to document attendance at our financial literacy training. In addition, state chartered credit unions are subject to similar fiduciary duty requirements requiring training on financials. For Texas Credit Unions Only: In March, The Texas Credit Union Department published a proposed rule which would require Texas credit unions to develop an annual training program for directors. If passed, the rule will become effective Summer 2014.
Greet old friends and make new ones as you mingle during a hosted hors d’oeuvres and wine & beer reception (attendees and guests must be registered to attend).
Join us as we start our day with a brief overview of the city, including a driving tour which includes the Arkansas State Capitol, Clinton Library, River Market District, Central High School (the first desegregated school in the south, this building was a focal point of the Civil Rights Movement) and McArthur Park.
Our guest program tour features some of the finest historic homes in the Quapaw Quarter – the historic district in downtown Little Rock. The Quapaw Quarter includes the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion, the Villa Marre (featured on TV’s Designing Women) and other Victorian, Queen Anne and other famous architecture styles. This beautiful area, which was originally developed right after the Civil War and continues to be a popular destination for residents and tourists.
Cost for this lovely day in Little Rock is $75 per person.
Friday, at the conclusion of the Closing General Session, one lucky attendee will win the grand prize drawing sponsored by Financial & Technology Resources. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN.
