Secure E-Mail Recipient Guide


This guide is intended for users outside of Texas Credit Union League who receive secure e-mail.  This guide explains how to download secure e-mail, create an account to view secure e-mails, and send secure replies.

Before Using This Guide: Your PC or Laptop must have Java Runtime Environment installed and working before you can open secure e-mail.  You can obtain the latest version of the Java Runtime Environment at

When a secure e-mail is sent, you will receive a message like the one shown here.

The message will contain an attachment which you must download and open.  The attachment will be named TCUL_securedoc.html.

The first time you open a secure e-mail message, you will be asked to create an account and password.  This password will be used to open future secure e-mail sent from Texas Credit Union League.

To create a new account

1. Click the 'Register' button

2. Type your first name, last name, and password. Select a 'Forgot Password Question' from the list and enter a 'Forgot Password Answer.'

Once you have successfully created your account, you must close your browser window and re-open the attachment.

To view the secure e-mail, type in your password and click the 'Open' button.

Now the message can be viewed

To reply, click the 'Reply' button. Replies and any attachments included in the replies will be sent securely back through the Texas Credit Union League system.

Warning: It is recommended that the combined size of all attachments not exceed 10MB

To attach files to a reply:

1. Click the 'Attachments' button.

2. Click the 'Browse' button and select a file you want to attach.

3. When you have selected the file, click the 'Attach' button.

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to attach more files to the reply.

5. When finished, click the 'Done' button. You will return to the 'Reply to Sender' screen.

6. When you are ready to send the reply, click the 'Send' button.
